Summerweekend and PartyHej! Had a wonderfully nice weekend, of which I'll write more another time, but go to Alberts weblog, on which you can click from this page and look at the nice pictures and the nice sunset and the nicest people.. Now I have to run from work to catch the bus home, where I'll get some portoguise food served from Tomás. God natt!Trevlig kväll. New and old pictures onlineI uploaded a couple of pictures I (or Albert) took during the last month. They were on Alberts USP (I sometimes borrow his digital camara, because normaly i am still the old-fashioned analogue photographer), so I haven't seen them under some time and it was great to go through them now. I had already forgotten how brilliant the Sufjan Stevens condert was and 'överhuvudtaget' (i really like that swedish word), how many diffrent things have happend during my EVS here. Look at them! and there is more to come soon (pictures and stories) . God gave me a bikepath!Hej allihoppa! Now I have to tell the world about the glorious bike path I discovered yesterday. Sunday afternoon in Mörbylånga: After breakfast and playing Trivial Pursuit, Ronja left Albert and me for her (and Emmis) new flat in Kalmar(I want to see it!) and I felt rather bored (yes...unbelievable, but occasionally that happens in Mörbylånga). So I decided to finally try out the bikepath between Mörbylånga, that's where I live and Färjestaden, that's where I work. I've been talking all winter about how I want to go on it, but thought that it will take a really long time. So I started, with my just newrepaired bike (it had 'punktiering'). And the way is really beautiful, through woods and meadows, and all quite near to the seaside. At one point it goes through this naturskydd-zone (natureprotected area it is in english?), which is a beautiful, thick forest, with white and yellow flowers everywhere right now. I arrived in Färjestaden after 45 minutes and was really surprised how fast that had went. So up to the Konsum, bought myself some refreshments and met three youthcenterkids, who showed themselves at least a bit impressed, when I told them where I just came from. And then..the way back. Obviously I had completley forgotten about the soft wind (yeah...'soft' only when you're standing still), which always blows on Öland and was in my back on the way to F. (explains the magical speed), but now blew directly against every inch of my body. Well, I got home anyway, even though it took nearly the double time, but I also made a stop at the seaside (did I already say that I love living at the seaside..I do, I do!) where someone was windsurfing and went out so far on the Kalmarsund, that I was afraid he or she was going to drown and I would have watched it all without helping. So I left that place quickly, only to see a bird I've never seen before, with a red Irokese (what's the english word for that?), which was screaking very loud and strange...think it was trying to scare me, so I also left that place cycled home to Albert, who rewarded me with 'Hoede-schmoede-hoekse something', which is Alberty food and consists of toastbread, milk and sugar. Yes, the dutch are indeed very healthy eaters (I haven't even written about Hagelslag yet..).
Okay. Long story short: I'm gladgladglad abouth the thought of being able to take this cyclepath really often now, all through spring and summer. Even though I think I might be to lazy to go on it today (No! bad start). Otherwise I had a veryveryvery nice visit a week ago and am therefor longing for Vienna quite a bit just now. But, at the same time I'm afraid time here will pass to quickly, after all it's only three month left, which is quite unbelievable and I really want to go, travel and see more around Sweden.
Another thing I've done lately was hiking on the Ostkustsleden. I really reccomend it to all of you in Sweden, especially if you're staying rather near Småland, it's beautiful, you pass Astrind Lindgrenlike bullerbys and some parts of the way are on the stunningly beautiful coast of the Skärgård around Oskarshamn (even though you'll have to pass the atomicplant there, but then, just hold you're breath...).
And, to step in Alberts footprints now, with recommending things... I've just discovered Nemi, a swedish comic (or is the writer actually from Norway or Finland?) and it's really great and has such a good- evil and ironic-humour. I've fallen for it and am generally starting to get, what there is about comics.
Okay, that was it for today. Greetings to all (well, whoever reads this)! I miss Vienna and you people. (P.S.: Please give me tips for summerjobs back home.) Greta SprrrrringOkay, so I have to agree with Emmi, that the point in having a blog is of course to actually write in it...Tadah...here I am. Hello dear friends and strangers. Today the first springy day showed its face here in Sweden (at least in the place where I move around, I'm sure the inhabitants of Kiruna will strongly disagree with me). The snow has melted away, the birds are singing and I sighted the first yellow flowers today in the bus from Kalmar to Mörbylånga (well not in the bus, but from the bus). It was 'warm' enough (I'm still careful with the word) to sit outside in your jacket for quite a while and that's what I did the whole day. First in Växjö, at the frozen lake. Växjo because.. Yesterday was the Goodbyeparty of our Växjö volunteer friends, which was really nice, even though it was of course held for a quite sad reason. It feels really weird that they are on their way back home now, while we 'Kalmar/Öland People' (this is for you Emmi) are now just in the middle of our stay. The funny thing about the Party there was that I met Clara, who I know from back home - Sweet Vienna. She's staying as a volunteer in Växjö now and it's just a quite big coincidence, that we're living so close to each other. Once again it is proved that 'Vienna is a village' or maybe better said in German (even though Ronja would disagree with the 'german'part) 'Wean is a durf'. Well, anyway. I got about two hours of sleep, but that's okay, as Mörbylånga is definatly not the place where the partys are at. Well now I have to leave again, Albert is hurrying me home and all this bloging is very new for me, so you have to bring up some patience. I didn't really finish the story about my day, but it actually only consisted of more sitting in the sun in Kalmar and in Mörbylånga at the beach. Good night, for now. Hoikenem Poikenem, juchu!
